Story

Rebecca
was born on November 26, 2010. She was 6 pounds, 3 ounces and
19 inches long. When she was born, she seemed like a healthy little
baby. She was already smiling a bit when she was only a month
old. Mom took Rebecca to the doctor on February 15, 2011 for her
two month check up and her pediatrician noticed something was
wrong and Rebecca seemed to be having difficulty breathing. After
getting an x-ray of Rebecca's heart, he noticed that it seemed
to be enlarged. An ambulance took her to Northridge Hospital where
they did an echo of her heart and Rebecca was diagnosed on February
15, 2011 with multiple heart defects.
These
defects are Tricuspid Atresia, Large Ventricle septal Defect,
Transposition of The Great Arteries and Hypoplastic Aortic Arch.
She
had one surgery to correct the Transposition of the Great Arteries
and the Hypoplastic Aortic Arch on February 28, but this was only
a precaution since the doctors feel her best chance is to have
a heart transplant.
Rebecca
Rose was accepted as a heart transplant candidate officially on
the list on March 4, 2011 and we are now waiting in Children's
Hospital, Los Angeles for as long as it takes. Please pray for
Rebecca. Rebecca is a fiesty little girl who loves her family.
She has two brothers, Conan and Aidan, who love her dearly.
She
loves to smile and we know if it wasn't for her breathing tube
she would probably be laughing by now.
