Okay we are home thank you thank you for all your prayers for Zachary. I am glad that the hospital up here sent him to chop because Zachary DOES NOT have asthma Yes you heard me right he does not have it. The ent doctor at chop did a scope and what he found did not shock me Zacharys left side of his vocal chords are paralized. He said this happens to lots of babies that have a breathing tube but his was from Dec. 2005 Anyway he will always be a very very noisey breather; I could live with that. He will also have a horse voice when he talks. Once again I cannot thank my carepage family for your prayers and postive messages. One other thing I wanted to say to you is that you people really dont know how much you mean to me... LOVE
ANN September 08, 2006 URGENT PRAYER NEEDED. ZACHARY WAS JUST TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO CHOP BECAUSE OF THE BREATHING. THE ER FEELS THAT HE HAS A PINCHED AIRWAY OR SCAR TISSUE IN HIS THROAT. PLEASE PRAY. I AM LEAVING SOON TO GO. JAMIE WENT WITH HIM IN THE AMBULANCE LOVE ANNSeptember 05, 2006
When we took Zachary to see his card dr and question her about his weezing and shortness of breath she just said it was upper air way and he need to see ent. Well quess what! It is not upper air way; he has asthma; he had a breathing treatment right in the doctors office and he order a neubilzer for home having treatments 2 times a day.
With his card dr telling us that it was all upper airway and finding out that it is not. I am now second thinking her about everything else she is telling us. I am calling another card to check Zachary out just for a piece of mind. Love

Early Intervention was here today. Zachary does not need them. All the testing they have done on him shows him to be between 12 and 15 months of doing things..woohooo you go baby boy!!!!
I did ask about his speech and him not talking or saying very many words what Iwas told is that Zachary's brain is so in tune with him walking it is not worried about the talking yet.. that will come in time.

Zachary had his appointment with Dr. Jin (his card.) Zachary's heart function is great. His oxygen level is 81% and I question that she said it would be low until his last surgery. I also question her about Zachary getting out of breath fast now that he is walking she said that he will he needs to learn his limits how to you teach a 13 month old limits. His bp was 101/74 heart rate 131 weight is 22.12. As far as what we call weezing the dr thinks it is all uppper air way and Zachary needs to see a ent because of the vocal chords being damage with the breathing tube.
Right now Zachary has an ear infection so be are better off seeing one of them anyway,and we can get a plan in action for him. Thank You all for your prayers and messages for my family.. Love

Zachary gave us a scare tonight that send us tto the er. Has Jamie was giving him his heart medicine he brought his hand and knock it out of his moms hands spillin some of it. so we did not know how much he had and we called the doctor who in turn told us to go to the er. Well they did not seem to be in any hurry to see Zachary and I was not going to let him wait we need to know and watch his blood pressure. I am a big mouth when it comes to things getting done when needed. Thats the last time we will go t that er there is 2 others that if need be can go to. This is a baby who if his pressure went to high could have a stoke or heart attack..I made myself known and had my grandson seen and the bp watch for about 1 hour. Thank God everything is okay and the first pressure was high but the last 2 came down. NO wonder I keep getting grayer and grayer
Then the nurse said to me that i probaly know more about hlhs then he did. Why do they go to school. We are home Zachary is tucked in bed now i am off to bed. LOVE

I REALLY DONT LIKE POSTING ANY HEALTH ISSUES ABOUT MYSELF ON ZACHARYS CAREPAGE BECAUSE I FEEL HE IS THE ONE THAT NEEDS THE PRAYERS. BUT I ALSO THOUGHT WHAT BETTER PLACE TO GO FOR PRAYER THEN HIS CAREPAGE. ANYWAY I WAS FOUND TO HAVE AN ABNORMEL EKG NOW I MUST GO FOR MORE TESTING. I HAVE THE CHEST PAIN THE SHORTNESS OF BREATH. SO I THINK I REALLY NEED TO HAVE IT DONE. PLEASE PRAYER THAT EVERYTHING IS FINE OR THEY COULD FIX IT. THE ONE THING THAT STILL BOTHERS ME IS HE IS 13 MONTHS OLD NOW AND STILL HAS NOT CRYED ONE TEAR OUT OF HIS EYES. HIS PED SAID HIS EYES ARE MOIST BUT I STILL QUESTION IT. ALSO WHEN ZACHARY HAS HIS LAST SURGERY SHE IS GOING TO CHANGE HIS LOVENIX TO COUMADIN CRASHED UP..SO SHE IS GOING TO ORDER A MACHINE FOR US TO CHECK HIS PROTIME. THEN OFF TO VISIT THE UROLIGIST IN THE KING OF PRUSSIA SATILLE CENTER . DR SYNDER IS A VERY NICE DR HE SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME EXPLAINING THINGS TO US AND ONE THING HE DID SAY THAT WHOEVER WAS THE REDISENT THAT SAID ZACHARY NEEDED RECONSTRATED SURGERY WAS TOTALLY WRONG AND HE COULD NOT SAY HE WAS SRY ENOUGH.

ZACHARY IS DOING GREAT HE NOW WEIGHS 24 LBS AND IS DOING EVERYTHING A 10 MONTH OLD BABY SHOULD DO, HE IS SITTTING ON HIS OWN PULLING HIM SELF UP TO A STANDING POSTION AND GETTING INTO EVERYTHING..STILL HE RATHER ARMY CRAWL AND NOT ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES.

WELL ZACHARY HAS HAD A VERY BUSY LAST COUPLE DAYS STARTING WITH SUNDAY MORNING WHEN HE WAS BAPTISED, HIS UNCLE LARRY AND AUNT BETH ARE HIS GODPARENTS. WHAT A WONDERFUL LOVING CHURCH WE HAVE FOUND AT FAITH ASSBEMLY IREALLY FEEL GOD WORKING MORE IN MY LIFE.THEN ON MONDAY ZACHARY WENT FOR HIS LAST RSV SHOT WOW HE WEIGHS 22 LBS. MUST BE THOSE MASHED POTATOES JAMIE IS GIVNING HIM NOW. AND TODAY ZACHARY HAD HIS VISIT WITH HIS CARDOILIGST . DOCTOR WAS SHOCK TO SEE THE SIZE OF ZACHARY WITH HIS KIND OF HEART DEFECT. OF COURSE ZACHARY WAS HAPPY LAUGHING AND FULL OF ENERGY. HIS O2 LEVEL WAS 89% ROOM AIR, HIS EKG LOOKED GREAT AND HIS CHEST XRAY LOOKED FINE HE DOES NOT HAVE TO SEE THE CARD UNTIL JULY.
ZACHARY IS NOW OFF THE LASIX TOTALLY AND CONTINUE ON THE REST OF THE MEDS. WE TALK TO THE DR ABOUT ZACHARYS VOICE HE DOES HAVE DAMAGE TO HIS VOCAL CORDS AND WITH THE SURGERY BEING IN DEC HE FEELS THAT HIS VOICE IS ABOUT AS STRONG AS IT WILL GET.

Zachary is doing great...he loves to roll back and forth now and is trying to sit up on his own. He had his last visit with his old ped on Friday for his RSV shot. Now in March we will meet the new dr.Please continue to keep Zachary in your prayers also please pray for all the heart babies and our carepage families

Zachary had his post op appointment with his favorite card Dr. Jin today, she could not believe the size of him. What is it babies with chd aren't supposed to be big or what. ..his ekg was good and his o2 level was 80%...he is such a happy baby DrJin did a echo and stated he really is a miracle. The surgery is doing just what it is suppose to be doing. I thank God everyday for him. I thank all his friends for their support. I ask you please continue to pray for Zachary and for all the other carepage babies and families.
on another note I ask a special prayer for Jamie and my other daughters. Their father passed away on Friday and it has been tough for Jamie - she was his baby.parents hug your babies and tell them you love them

ZACHARY CAME OUT OF SURGERY AT ABOUT 11:45 AM HE DID WONDERFUL.. DR SPRAY DID NOT HAVE TO STOP HIS HEART TO DO THE REPAIR THIS TIME. I HAVE BEEN OVERCOME WITH EMOTIONS AT THIS TIME SEEING MY GRANDSON LAYING IN A BED BREATHING WITHOUT THE BREATHING TUBE AND JUST A LITTLE O2. HE REALLY NEVER SEEN HIM LIKE THIS AND I KNOW IT REALLY BOTHERED HIM.

"BOY OH BOY WHAT A BIG HAPPY BABY" THAT IS WHAT WAS SAID TODAY TO JAMIE FROM THE CATH LAB NURSES .ZACHARY DID WONDERFUL. HE WAS TAKEN FOR HIS CATH AT 9 AM AND BACK IN HIS ROOM AT 11AM. NO BLEEDS NO TEARS PRESSURE IS GREAT...I CAN YELL FROM THE HIGHEST MOUNTIAN THAT MY GOD IS SO GOOD. JAMIE SIGNED THE CONSENT FORM TODAY FOR THE SURGERY TOMORROWLOVE

ZACHARY WENT FOR HIS SEDATED ECHO TODAY. EVERYTHING WENT OKAY. NOW TOMORROW HE WILL BE ADMITTED INTO THE HOSPITAL FOR HIS CATH AND THEN THE SURGERY IS THURS. PLEASE KEEP ZACHARY AND HIS MOM IN YOUR PRAYERSLOVE

SUITCASES ARE ALL PACKED THE CAR GETTING SERVICE . WE LEAVE TOMORROW FOR PHILLY. WE ARE GOING TO BE STAYING AT THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE IN CAMDEN NJ. JAMIE AND I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE THERE AND IT IS ONLY 10 MINUTES FROM THE HOSPITAL. ZACHARY IS READY FOR HIS SECOND SURGERY AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO HIM BEING HOME WITH US FOR THE HOLIDAYS.I SAY THIS EVERY DAY PARENTS HUG YOU CHILDREN THEY TRUELY A GIFT FROM GOD TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM...
THE HARDEST THING FOR MY DAUGTHER IS GOING TO BE HANDING ZACHARY TO THE SURGEON ON THURSDAY. I ASK YOU TO PLEASE LIFT ZACHARY UP IN PRAYER AND MY DAUGHTER AND ME TOO. PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD GUIDES DR. SPRAY(THE SURGEON) DURING THIS TIME.

thank God for insurance. Zachary got his first rsv shot yesterday i could not believe what it cost for one shot.. but i would have moved heaven and earth to pay for it, for my grandson,
We are counting the days until we come home from his surgery we have not even left yet but I know that we will be home for the holidays...and Zachary will have a wonderful first Christmas.
Right now he has a infected big left toe that he is on medicine for..and in 2 days the dr said it looks excellent keep doing what we are doing just soaking it in warm soapy water 4 times a day and the medicine..we are so blessed Zachary is such a happy baby...you look at him and you would never know he has a heart defect...Please pray for Zachary and his up coming surgery...pray for all the heart babies..pray for alex a little girl that has cancer...God has a reason why he give these special chilrden to special parents..kiss your babies and tell them you love them

We took zachary to the doctors yesterday .. he was breathing funny...the doctor put our minds at rest by listening to his lungs and heart and telling us that some babies are noisy??? well his lungs were clear... he now weighs 15 and 3/4 lbs loves his rice cereal in the afternoon...
.. dont want Zachary getting sick before his surgery.. we enjoy each moment we have with him but Istill am counting the days and Iget real upset thinking in 32 days we will be back in Philly for his second surgery...not being able to control this is the hardest thing for me. I cannot tell you what the outcome will be but I love my grandson and i wish i could make this go away..so he does not have to go thru this pain and make his heart whole..i hide being scare and try to be upbeat for my daughter because i know she is very scared and crys alot also....PARENTS HUG YOUR CHILDREN EVERYDAY GIVE THEM A KISS AND TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM THEY ARE A GIFT FROM GOD

Zachary is doing great it is a joy to watch him grow and grab at things now he is believe it or not trying to roll he can get his bottom have over but not his top lol...The beginning of the month we went to Philly for the feed study and to the hemoligist. Zachary was then 11lbs 1 oz he is about 12 or 13 lbs now he is growing great...
He knows voices now and will turn his head when he hears people talking...what a joy he is. God has truely blessed us. We don't have a doctors appt. until oct 21 so i will update after that

WE ARE SO AMAZED, ZACHARY HAD HIS VISIT WITH DR JIN TODAY (HIS CARD) AND SHE TOOK HIM OFF THE ZANTAC, CUT DOWN HIS LASIX TO ONCE A DAY, CUT HIS CALIUM TO 2 TIMES A DAY AND APIRIN IS NOW ONCE A DAY HE ALSO HAS FACTOR FIVE WERE IS BLOOD CLOTS FAST I HAVE IT AND IT IS HERITARY.
ZACHARY NOW WEIGHS 10 LBS 2 OZ 23 INCHES LONG AND HIS COLOR IS GREAT.. DR JIN WAS VERY PLEASED YOU CAN TELL HE IS WELLED LOVED...WNEP TV DID A STORY ON ZACHARY TODAY IT WILL AIR TOMORROW..PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ZACHARY AND ALL THE CHILDREN WITH HLHS AND THEIR FAMILIES..

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT WE MET WITH DR ALLEN THE NEW PED DR AND JAMIE LOVED HIM. HE WAS GREAT WITH ZACHARY AND ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS AND SEEMED VERY CONCERNed ABOUT ZACHARY'S HLHS. I AM SO GLADZACHARY HAS GAINED MORE WEIGHT. HE IS NOW 9LBS 12 OZ ADN HE HAD HIS FIRST SET OF BABY SHOTS HE WENT THRU THEM LIKE A TROOPER NOT EVEN RUNNING A FEVER IN THE EVENING THANK GOD.
SECOND IS WE HAVE A CAR. I WENT AND PUT A DOWN PAYMENT ON IT ON FRIDAY .
GOD DOES PROVIDEI ASK YOU TO KEEP ZACHARY AND ALL THE HEART FAMILIES IN YOUR PRAYERS

WELL IT HAS BEEN A FEW DAYS THAT I HAVE POSTED ANYTHING. MY THOUGHTS HAVE BEEN WITH JERRA'S FAMILY..THEN I JUST READ THAT HALLE IS IN FOR SURGERY..PLEASE PRAYER FOR THEIR FAMILIES.
YOU THINK AND KNOW IN THE BACK OF YOUR MIND THAT YOUR BABY NEEDS 3 SURGERIES..BUT YOU DONT WANT TO, THE FIRST SURGERY RIGHT AFTER THEY ARE BORN..YOU BRING YOUR CHILD HOME AND LIVE A HAPPY ALMOST NORMAL LIFE...THEN THE CALL COMES, ZACHARY IS HAVING HIS SECOND SURGERY ON DEC 15,2005 WE KNEW HE WOULD HAVE IT JUST DID NOT WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT. IT HIT HOME MY GRANDSON SO SMALL AND INNOCENT IS HAVING HIS SECOND OPEN HEART SURGERY. I KNOW IT IS NOT UNTIL DEC BUT KNOW THAT IT IS SCHELDULE I WILL THINK ABOUT IT MORE. ZACHARY WAS AT THE PED TODAY HE IS UP TO 9 LBS. WE WERE BLESS WITH A GOD SEND ANGEL TODAY. YOU SEE WE DO.NOT HAVE A GOOD CAR TO GET ZACHARY BACK AND FORTH TO HIS APPT. AND I WROTE A LETTER TO THE EDITOR OF OUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER, A VERY NICE WOMAN NAMED KATHLEEN POLICARE GOT IN TOUCH WITH ME THROU THE PHONE COMPANY AND TOLD US THAT WE CAN HAVE HER CAR- SHE NO LONGER USES IT. ZACHARY'S STORY TOUCH HER GOD LAYED HIM ON HER SOUL. I BELIEVE GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS, I BELIEVE THAT MORE TODAY THEN YESTERDAY AND LESS THEN TOMMORROW. LIvES HAVE CHANGED IN MY FAMILY BECAUSE OF ZACHARY AND WE ARE SO GRATEFUL. I AM GOING TO INCLUDE THE LETTER I WROTE TO THE EDITOR I ALSO HAVE SPOKEN TO THE TV STATION TO DO A STORY ABOUT HLHS BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THAT AND I WANT THEM TO KNOW HOW MANY FAMILIES HAVE CHILDREN BORN WITH IT AND THE STRUGGLES AND JOYS THE FAMILYS GO THRU.
